Master of Arts-Psychology, Georgia School of Professional Psychology, Atlanta, GA
I have experience in assessing and treating emotional and behavioral problems in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and am a seasoned trainer, teacher, and presenter of a variety of topics in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings.
In addition to more general areas of mental health and wellness, I am particularly interested in supporting the social and emotional needs of gifted children and adults in home, school, work, and community settings -- especially with regard to issues presented by levels of high-to-profound giftedness, and/or giftedness plus disability. I am a trained facilitator for SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of Gifted) Parent Groups, which offer parents of gifted children an opportunity to learn more about and share insights about the joys and challenges of raising gifted children.
I am professionally affiliated with the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCAGA), the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Tourette Syndrome Association (TSA), National Association for Gifted Children (NAGC), Georgia Association for Gifted Children (GAGC), and Supporting Emotional Needs of Gifted (SENG).
